Simply Sushi was Established in June of 2006, by owners Chaim Goldman and Shmuel Ungar. They wanted to provide a unique experience for kosher consumers, and give them the opportunity to taste gourmet quality sushi. Simply Sushi’s first location opened in Monticello NY. There they gained tremendous popularity and dedicated followers by offering unique and delectable sushi.

In 2008 Simply Sushi competed in an Iron Chef style sushi competition and was recognized with special honors, receieving the best kosher sushi award and Kosher fest’s top award.
The sushi-making competition was where Simply Sushi beat out well-known competitors for the bragging rights to ‘best kosher sushi.’. Simply Sushi took the top prize in each category for the best presentation, taste, and creativity. Out of a possible 5 being the highest score they got a perfect 5 in each category.
